Hi, I am Kortney.

I have been doing photography for as long as I can remember. I was the little girl who would take all the disposable cameras I could find and make my brother dress up for photoshoots. I gained a greater love for photography in middle school and high school when I was editor and photographer for the school newspaper and yearbook.

Right out of high school I new I wanted to learn more about photography so I took a job as a photographer at Sears Portrait Studio where I soon became manager. Although it may be the cheesiest place around, I learned so much about studio lighting and posing. This is also where I learned of my passion for photographing children.

After my time there I worked as a photographer for Paparazzi Accessories. This was an amazing experience and taught me so much. This gave me the chance to work in tons of different environments and pushed me to learn how to take advantage of all the light, from sun up to sun down.

I am a natural light photographer who loves "golden hour" but is happy to shoot in the morning. Who likes to shoot in the beautiful outdoors but is excited for the chance to shoot in a studio. As a photographer, I try my best to always provide beautiful and timeless photographs. My favorite thing to hear after a session is that I captured a moment and made it more beautiful than they remembered.
